Summer Employment Opportunities at Camp Atwater

Camp Atwater, the oldest African-American-owned and operated residential camp in the country, is now accepting applications for summer employment.  Owned and operated by the Urban League of Springfield.  The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Camp Atwater's mission is to assist in the academic and social growth and development of youth by offering a quality residential camping experience within a safe, nurturing, and Afrocentric environment.  This year the camp is celebrating its 91st year of service to youth!

Summer Visual and Performing Arts Teaching Opportunity

Opportunity Description:		Boston Trinity Academy is interviewing artist/teachers to teach courses at this summer’s Visual and Performing Arts Camp for students aged 10 – 17, July 16 – August 17. Last year’s courses included papercraft, fashion design, photography, animal anatomy and still life drawing, painting and pottery. Some suggested courses for Summer, 2012 are basic graphic design, photography, videography, fashion design, but we are open to all kinds of artistic classes and want to encourage lots of creativity.

Summer Visual and Performing Arts Teaching Opportunity

This summer, Boston Trinity Academy is opening its first visual and performing arts camp, August 8 - 19, 1pm - 4pm.  Job placement available to AIB students and/or grads to teach classes.  The students participating in the program are between the ages of 10 and 17.  Two courses will be offered per day in 1 1/2 blocks.  So far, BTA has faculty to teach pottery, photography, painting, music composition and music production, drama, creative writing and fashion design.  They are open to any suggested courses which may be appropriate for this age group.

Boston Trinity Academy will pay $15 per student attending per week, so pay is based on the number of students per class.
