To all AIB students, faculty and staff:
For safety and security reasons, students are required to complete and submit Overnight Access Permits for each night that they intend to stay in our facilities beyond our usual hours. The form is available at AIB’s reception desk, 700 Beacon Street and when completed, it should be given to the guard on duty at 700 Beacon Street.
The Fort Point Arts Community’s Open Studios Weekend:
Boston’s Original Open Studios Event
October 14th, 15th and 16th, 2011
Friday 4-7:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 11am-6pm
Fort Point Open Studios weekend will be held this year Friday through Sunday, October 14-16. More than 150 artists will open their studio doors to thousands of visitors. In addition to the Saturday and Sunday hours from 11 to 6pm, selected studios are open during a Friday Preview Evening, from 4pm to 7:00 pm on October 14th.
Explore the historic waterfront warehouses that are home to painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewelers, performance artists, fashion designers, printmakers, book artists, photographers, and more. Meet local artists and craftspeople, and get a behind the scenes look at where Boston artists create their work. Find established artists, and discover new emerging talents. Stroll, ponder, and browse. Buy original art from the people who make it.
Visitors to Open Studios can explore more than 10 buildings in the Fort Point neighborhood, plus galleries and creative design shops. All buildings are in easy walking distance of each other. Free participatory art-making activities for children will take place at Made in Fort Point, FPAC’s store and gallery at 12 Farnsworth Street on Saturday and Sunday/.
