We would like to announce iAIB Wallpapers, a series of wallpapers illustrated and designed by AIB alumni. Each new series offers three exclusive wallpapers for Apple iPhone or iPod. Each series is an original work created exclusively for our blog's iAIB Wallapers gallery and are free for you to download. So, download your favorites and enjoy and support the the many talents of AIB in your digital life!
Our first series of iAIB Wallpapers were created by illustrator Pitchanee Sumrittisut (Noonie)
"My concept for the series of wallpapers was inspired by the myth of the Lucky Carp. Ancient Asian folklore says carrying a
good luck Carp
will help them succeed in life and
business! So, everyone who downloads the Lucky Carp for their wallpaper,
will carry good luck everywhere they go!
I wanted to create a contemporary Carp that visually connects to modern
technology, using pixels to connect the mythological to our digital
world. I added specific detail on the Carp's fins to create the
illusion of movement. The background circles symbolize water, waves,
and ripples. The quarter moon, the cloud, and the star, that appear on
the surface of the water, are the reflections cast from the night sky"
